On Mother’s Day 12th May, we hosted an exclusive afternoon of Tia Espresso Martinis and high tea inspired by Asian culinary delights, for invited guests and their mums, whilst overlooking the Opera House at Junk Lounge, Overseas Passenger Terminal in Sydney. Tia Maria & Junk Lounge brought together precious coffee flavours and exotic aromas of distant shores to the heart of Sydney’s harbour. The location was perfect for a Mother’s Day celebration, a chic cocktail lounge where the old Orient dances to a new Asian beat. With a fresh menu of hawker-style dishes and a dynasty of spice-infused cocktails crafted by the city’s finest mixologists, guests were able to indulge and spoil their loved ones.

With the lovely backdrop of the Sydney Opera House, beautiful ambience, amazing food & drink, sharing a special day with their mum was all our guests could ask for. Strangers mingled and bonded over Tia Maria cocktails and Asian delights. The special guest – Tia Maria – was a sensation amongst guests as Tia Maria cocktails flowed throughout the afternoon, impressing guests beyond expectation due to Tia Maria’s distinct coffee flavour. Tia Maria is a sweet liqueur with a strong coffee character and a complex aromatic structure.

There are three significant elements that make Tia Maria a one-of-a-kind coffee liqueur.

The Tia Espresso Martini was the hero cocktail and we had exotic coffee cocktails like the Dancy Tangerine, The Aphrodite and Shard & Salt on offer too.

Amongst the invited guests was Tia Maria AU Facebook Competition Winner Cheryl Misio and her friend Sally, who were amongst the guests to have a Tia Maria experience like no other.

Glass – Served in a L1 coupe. Garnish – Dark chocolate shard with Orange zest shaving
