A classic drink, the Old Fashioned is extra-tasty with Remy Martin XO Cognac.

James E. Pepper, bartender and esteemed bourbon aristocrat was said to have invented this drink in Louisville in the 1880’s before he brought the drink to the Waldorf-Astoria Hotel bar in New York City where the Old Fashioned drink became popular.

60ml Remy Martin XO
3dashes of Angostura bitters
1 Brown sugar cube
Garnishes
Orange peel
Method

In your most luxurious tumbler, stir 60mL Remy Martin XO, 1 lump of brown sugar and 3 dashes of bitters over ice until silky smooth. Continue adding more ice as you stir.

Bartender's Tip

Garnish with fresh figs when in season.
