History

Casa Cinzano, founded in 1757 by brothers Carlo Stefano and Giovanni Giacomo Cinzano, became a household name for its sparkling wines, which are still prepared with the same care and passion in each bottle to this day, and its signature vermouths, as appreciated by consumers around the world today as they were in the 1700’s.

Deep-rooted in the Italian culture, Cinzano remains true to its timeless values while acting as a powerful source of inspiration for the future.

For over two centuries, Cinzano’s flavor profile has remained nearly identical, and it is in the steps before the bottle arrives in the bartender’s hand that the real secret of the product lies.

Production

In order to give Cinzano vermouths their wonderfully bittersweet and unmistakable botanical balances, the first step is the painstaking selection of the herbs and botanicals, as well as grapes, a vital task which requires the great care and incomparable expertise of the Herbalist & Master Blender.

The botanicals are sourced from trustworthy, reliable suppliers which comply with a strict supplier’s code. Each botanical, herb, wood and spice is meticulously selected from specific geographical areas and only harvested in certain moments of the year, depending their seasonality.

Excluding the North and South Poles, herbs and botanicals that go into Cinzano come from all continents, while at the base of the preparation there is a Trebbiano-based Italian wine blend.
