Master Whisky Maker Gordon Motion hand-selected almost identical quantities of first-fill sherry seasoned European oak casks, first-fill sherry seasoned American oak casks and refill casks for this incredibly intense yet beautifully balanced August 2019 Release of Highland Park 21-Year-Old Single Malt Scotch Whisky.

The European first-fill sherry seasoned oak hogsheads produce bright aromas of tangy ginger and sun-ripened oranges, while ex-bourbon American Oak casks add a fine layer of vanilla cream and golden honey. Finally, the refill hogsheads deliver a hint of nutty toasted oak, softening the whisky’s smoky and spicy complexity.
