Teremana Tandem is all about connection: between teammates, the crowd, the craft, and the culture. It’s about bringing people together with positive energy, storytelling, laughter, and unforgettable drinks. Whether you’re a seasoned pro or an up-and-coming star behind the stick, this is your moment to shine.
The competition will not only challenge participants’ skill and creativity but also ask you to explore the Teremana brands meaning of “Sharing the Mana”—how they bring energy, passion, and connection to their craft.
On the night, we’ll showcase Teremana’s signature drinks, offer samplings, and, of course, reward the winning team with an exciting, high-value prize.
Overview:
Bartenders, team up and ‘Bring the Mana’ to life! In pairs, you will craft the ultimate Teremana Tequila cocktail, celebrating friendship, teamwork, and the vibrant traditions of Mexico. Each duo must shake up a unique creation using at least 30ml of Teremana Tequila, showcasing your creativity, synergy, and passion for quality ingredients.
This isn’t just a competition, it’s an electric, high-energy showdown where style, fun, and flavour take centre stage! Engage the crowd, embrace the spirit of Mana, and make this an unforgettable experience for everyone involved. Let’s shake, stir, and ‘Share the Mana’ together!
What’s at stake?
- $3,000 for the winning team
- $1,000 for the runner-up
All judged on creativity, flavour, balance, teamwork, Mexican influence, and that undeniable mana-filled spirit.
What makes it different?
Teams will dress up, perform, and engage the crowd, this is just as much about entertainment as it is exceptional cocktails. We want stories, we want vibes, we want energy. This is where fun meets flavour. Every shake, stir, and pour should say something about your connection to Teremana’s ethos: “Share the Mana.”
Judging Criteria:
- Taste & Balance – Is the cocktail well-balanced and flavourful?
- Creativity & Presentation – Does it tell a story and visually impress?
- Teamwork & Energy – Do the bartenders showcase synergy and the spirit of “Mana”?
- Mexican Influence – Does the cocktail honour Mexican traditions or ingredients?
- Teremana Integration – Is the tequila the hero of the drink?
This will be part of Sydney Bar Week and be promoted through Bartender Magazine.

We’ll select five standout teams to battle it out in the final, held on a dedicated night during the week. In the lead-up, we’ll feature the teams and their stories in editorial content to build excitement. The winning team will walk away with a cash prize and potentially a trip for two, pending final confirmation from the brand.
