The appointment follows Caffo Group’s acquisition of the iconic Cinzano brand earlier this year, a major milestone for one of Italy’s most respected family-owned distilleries. Founded in 1915 in Calabria by master distiller Giuseppe Caffo, the fourth-generation family business is celebrated for its craftsmanship, authenticity and Italian excellence. Today, Caffo Group unites some of Italy’s most heritage brands, including Vecchio Amaro del Capo, Borsci S. Marzano, Petrus Boonekamp and now Cinzano, under one house of excellence, sharing the flavours of Italy to the world.
Created in 1757 by Giovanni Giacomo and Carlo Stefano Cinzano in Turin, Cinzano is one of Italy’s most historic and celebrated drinks brands. For more than two centuries, it has embodied the Italian aperitivo tradition through its renowned vermouths and sparkling wines. Synonymous with style, craftsmanship and conviviality, Cinzano continues to bring the true aperitivo lifestyle to life around the world.

Gabriele Langella, Export Area Sales Director of Caffo 1915 said:
“We’re proud to bring Cinzano into the Caffo family — a brand that represents the same Italian heritage, craftsmanship and convivial spirit that define our own. Partnering with Spirits Platform allows us to strengthen Cinzano’s legacy in Australia and share our passion for authentic Italian aperitivo culture with a new generation of consumers.”
The new partnership sees Spirits Platform take on the iconic Italian brand from Campari Group, marking another step in the company’s strategy to strengthen its aperitivo and vermouth offering in Australia.
Founded in 1757 in Turin, Cinzano has long been synonymous with Italian style, craft and conviviality. The Cinzano Vermouth range, including Cinzano Rosso, Bianco and Extra Dry, continues to inspire aperitivo culture around the world.”
Ian Atherton, CEO of Spirits Platform, said:
“We’re thrilled to welcome Cinzano into the Spirits Platform portfolio. This is a globally renowned brand with deep heritage and authenticity, perfectly complementing our existing premium aperitivo range.
Cinzano embodies the Italian spirit of celebration and discovery, and we look forward to building on its strong equity with new energy, trade partnerships and consumer engagement in Australia.”
The transition will be effective 1 November 2025, with Spirits Platform taking full responsibility for sales, marketing and distribution from that date. All trade partners have been notified, with both companies working closely to ensure a smooth handover.
