Rémy Martin

The House of Rémy Martin was founded in 1724 as a negociant for fine eaux-de-vie in the Cognac region by Rémy Martin, a local farmer and winegrower. As early as 1738, King of France Louis XV recognised the exceptional quality of Rémy Martin Cognac and granted a special dispensation to allow the House to plant vines on land usually kept for cereals. Rémy Martin continued to draw acclaim for their excellent cognac over the centuries, with the now iconic centaur logo being chosen in 1870 to help illiterate dock-workers to differentiate the barrels. Being one of the largest negociant cognac houses, Rémy Martin maintains close business relationships with the growers in the two premier crus: Grande Champagne and Petite Champagne, specialising in Fine Champagne Cognac since 1948.

RÉMY MARTIN VSOP

Rémy Martin VSOP is composed of eaux-de-vie coming exclusively from the highest-quality vineyards of Cognac, the Grande Champagne and Petite Champagne. Such eaux-de-vie offer an exceptional ageing potential and are known as Cognac Fine Champagne. In 1927, Rémy Martin’s Cellar Master André Renaud created the very first VSOP Fine Champagne—a truly visionary decision. This prestigious appellation would be officially recognized 11 years later as an AOC (Appellation d’Origine Contrôlée – a specific growing area protected by French law).  In 2010, Rémy Martin VSOP Fine Champagne Cognac won a gold medal at the Spirits Business Cognac Masters (UK).

RÉMY MARTIN CLUB

Rémy Martin Club reveals intense and complex aromas thanks to a selection of very old Fine Champagne eaux-de-vie aged for up to 20 years. Notes of grilled almonds are evoked by the toasted Limousin oak barrels, giving forth to warm spicy notes of cinnamon—the result of long ageing. Dry fruits intermingle with oaky notes, creating a well-balanced expression of complexity and depth. Dense texture resulting in a long and intense finish, perfect for pairing with flavorsome foods and fine tea.

RÉMY MARTIN XO

Such eaux-de-vie offer an exceptional aging potential and are known as Cognac Fine Champagne. Rémy Martin XO won a gold medal at the 2010 Spirits Business Cognac Masters (UK) and a gold medal at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition in 2014.
