They say The Southside was Al Capone’s Favourite drink. A long version of the drink with crushed ice originated on the Chicago’s south side and was enjoyed by Southside Mobsters. The Mafiosi from the other side of town favoured the Northside cocktail (gin & ginger ale).
Pour ingredients into a cocktail shaker. Fill with ice & shake well. Double strain & pour into a martini glass.
