This is the sixth Christmas Cask single malt whisky from LARK and marries the finest Tasmanian craftsmanship with the warmth of the holidays to create the perfect gift for the whisky lover, whisky explorer or to share with friends and family. The Christmas Cask is Made of Tasmania, with a true sense of community, each year using multi-award-winning Frogmore Creek red wine barrels that have held and fermented Hobart patisserie Jean-Pascal’s excess fruit mince pie jus to minimise waste. The casks are then passed on to LARK Master Blender Chris Thomson to finish the Cambridge Distillery Single Malt whisky matured in Sherry and Port casks, for the ultimate festive whisky flavour experience.
The Christmas Cask Limited Release
With notes of orange blossom on the nose, honey-glazed walnuts, fresh custard and toffee apples on the palate and a long finish of baked pear and rich caramel sauce, this is a single malt that truly embodies the Spirit of Christmas. A journey from grain to glass, each Christmas Cask bottle and accompanying luxury gift box is adorned with an intricate and beautiful artwork by Australian-Filipino artist Victoria Leonisa Garcia that tells the story of this unique coming together of craftsmanship while depicting a truly Tasmanian Christmas. The Christmas Cask gifting collection is available from October 2024.
